I really liked the detail dressed in the corners of the restaurant that paid homage to its previous life as an iconic dry cleaners in Busselton. But thought it fell short of adding more rustic elements and a cozy vibe.
The menu is made up of share plates and so were advised to order three items but honestly, two would have been more than enough for Andy and I. I was really annoyed they suggested 3 dishes because it meant not having desert as we were just too full from our mains. And the deserts looked good. You would have thought the waitress would have known better.
The ocean trout was just beautiful and we savoured every mouthful! Amazing!!
The Japanese pancake was probably the most disappointing. It tasted good but nothing fantastic or worth $28. A couple of mouthfuls and I wasn’t enjoying it as much as it’s quite heavy and rich.
I’m a huge lamb lover so I was looking forward to trying this dish and while the lamb was cooked well, I unfortunately found it pretty boring. We could hardly taste the truffle, mainly honey for the dressing. And the brussel sprouts was plain and boring which made the dish really uninteresting to eat.
I had high expectations for this place and unfortunately I walked feeling too full, not satisfied and really disappointed. Average food and ok service and ambience.
